Meet the CRL

Building a culture where grief due to reproductive loss is no longer neglected.

This is us

This is us.

For 30 years, the CRL has been addressing the healing of mind, body, and spirit through a holistic approach that promotes constructive, healthy grieving for those whose lives have been touched by a reproductive loss such as miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, adoption, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), infertility, and sterility.

We are committed as well to educating caregivers and the public on reproductive loss grief issues.

Our Vision.

We are committed to ensure that every bereaved parent has access to resources that aid in coping and eventual recovery.

We aim to raise public awareness of the emotional, social, and psychological consequences that grief from reproductive loss brings to individuals.

Additionally, we seek to collaborate with similar organizations to build strategic alliances, advocating for policy changes that support those who suffer any reproductive loss.

Our Purposes.

To advance education by generating public awareness of the emotional needs of individuals who experience reproductive loss.

To promote health by training community, social, and healthcare workers on the specific reproductive grief care programs used at the CRL to better serve and understand individuals who have experienced a reproductive loss.

KathleenGray & Ann Lassance

Meet the Founders.

Healthcare professionals Kathleen Gray and Anne Lassance founded the CRL in 1992 in order to respond compassionately to the emotional, spiritual, and psychological distress of individuals and families affected by any kind of reproductive loss. With their expertise and commitment to the cause, this non-denominational organization has been offering not only reproductive loss grief care, but also educational outreach to young people on fertility awareness, aiming to educate them on the choices they make that may affect their fertility.

Former President and founder of the CRL, Kathleen Gray, who has been Laura's mentor for years, chose and asked her to continue her mission of supporting bereaved families. Laura, as the leader of the organization, recognizes the importance of governance, and she is dedicated to establishing a board that will ensure accountability for the Centre and provide the necessary accompaniment for the continuation of the mission she was entrusted with. Laura has a strong vision for the Centre, particularly one where all organizations that provide support to bereaved individuals collaborate to raise awareness about the importance of this assistance for the betterment of individuals, communities, and society at large.
